Eye and I

Glorious golden morning rays
Paint a faint-bright layer on my road
And make me feel I’m walking upon
The shadow of the sun!
From where things had begun,
Behind that burning orb,
Somewhere there is a cold and colourless infinite void
And that darkness shines upon the glaring immensity,
Turns it into a furious flare, and here on earth,
We walk on the sun, upon its silent shadow,
Inside its warm fragrance invisibly visible.
When my mind travels wide and round, and wider,
I feel the sun is close to me
And sheds a shade of glorious golden rays,
Just like a tree, that sees me silently
Standing on its roots.
But I know not that void,
Which enjoys eternal virginity,
I know not that unthinkable dark expansion,
That horrid infinity!
I’m drowned in the ocean of what is visible,
I’m drowned in colour! I am the seeker of light.
I am happily drowned, happy I too am-
In drowning all else into the mirage of my being.
I know not yet my own- dark reality.
What you see is just my glorious shadow,
Playing upon the roads of your thoughts.
I’m far from you if you just see the pebbles on your road
And think that is all to see.
I’m close to you, if you just close your eyes
And widen the boundary of your mind,
And crave to see beyond the visible,
Beneath the skin.
